Tallented is working with the Board of Trustees at an 8 sized MAT in Birmingham.
This is a defining moment for a charismatic and deeply unifying system leader. We are partnering with the Board of Trustees of an eight-school MAT located in Birmingham, a vibrant city that demands educational excellence and equity. The Trust has successfully acquired its portfolio of schools, but it currently operates too much like a loose federation rather than a cohesive entity. The Board’s absolute priority for the incoming CEO is the rigorous implementation of a "One Trust" mentality, underpinned by a powerful, shared culture and vision.
Your fundamental challenge will be cultural transformation. You must break down existing silos, ending the "us versus them" mindset that can sometimes exist between the central team and individual academies. Implementing a "One Trust" mentality means ensuring that every member of staff, whether they are a site manager in one school or a head of department in another, understands that they belong to a single, unified organization working toward a common goal. You will lead the collaborative process of redefining the Trust’s core values and vision, ensuring these are not just words on a website, but guiding principles that dictate daily behaviors, performance management, and strategic decision-making across all eight sites.
This requires a CEO who is a masterful communicator and a highly visible presence. You will need to inspire diverse stakeholders—from newly qualified teachers and skeptical parents to the Regional Director and local authority figures in Birmingham. You will drive structural alignment, ensuring that best practices in pedagogy, safeguarding, and operations are shared seamlessly across the network, transforming isolated pockets of excellence into Trust-wide standards. We are seeking an exceptional educationalist, likely an experienced executive headteacher or existing CEO, who understands that true organizational strength comes from deep cultural cohesion, shared accountability, and an unwavering, collective commitment to the children of Birmingham.

Why don't you post jobs for clients?
