Tallented is working with a 6 sized MAT in the Midlands.
This growing six-school Trust in the Midlands is transitioning from a period of rapid acquisition into a phase of critical consolidation and operational maturation. The Board has identified the urgent need to professionalize and unify its financial operations. We are seeking a highly analytical and systems-driven Chief Financial Officer whose primary mandate will be the rigorous implementation of Integrated Curriculum Financial Planning (ICFP), alongside the complete centralization and standardisation of financial systems.
Your foremost priority will be embedding ICFP across all six academies. You will work side-by-side with Headteachers and the Director of Education to ensure that curriculum design and staffing models are intrinsically linked to financial realities. By analyzing class sizes, teacher contact ratios, and curriculum costs, you will ensure that every pound spent is optimized to directly enhance pupil outcomes, eliminating historical inefficiencies and ensuring the Trust’s staffing structures are both affordable and highly effective.
To facilitate this level of forensic financial management, you must lead a massive technical overhaul. You will oversee the procurement and rollout of a unified, cloud-based, centralized financial system, replacing disparate legacy software currently used by individual schools. Through this standardization, you will establish a single chart of accounts, centralized procurement protocols, and streamlined payroll operations. This will empower you to provide the Board of Trustees with absolute transparency, real-time financial reporting, and the consolidated data necessary to make rapid, strategic decisions. This role is perfectly suited for a "builder"—a qualified finance professional who relishes the challenge of change management, process optimization, and creating order, efficiency, and scale from the ground up.
FAQ
Why should I apply?

Why don't you post jobs for clients?
Apart from the obvious, (that we're not actively seeking work, but when we do...) we want to be able to provide clients an instant shortlist with people we have already met and qualified. Hence us focusing on building our our database at the moment
What makes you different to other agencies?
We like to think our candidate centric approach sets us apart from the 'big' HR agencies. We see and treat you as people, and get to know you first when interviewing you.
Also Ollie and Del, Hays ain't got them, now do they?!
Plus, we're like super fun and laid back in our comms...
