Tallented are delighted to be working with a Multi Academy Trust client to search with Education sector/transferable public sector experience for a People Partner on an initial 12 month contract basis
To support the Executive Director - People in delivering a high-quality HR business partnering service to the assigned schools, actively contributing to the effective implementation of the people strategy, priorities and wider organisational objectives. The role is based in Southampton, but will involve (expensed) travel to the Isle of Wight around once a month.
The role will have a customer-centric approach with their primary client group (school/unit line managers) and provide day to day client relationship management and service delivery. The role will work closely with colleagues across the Trusts central team to ensure the people needs of the school/assigned unit are met.
We are looking for a partner who will support the school leaders in the implementation of the Trusts people policies and procedures, including recruitment, onboarding, safer recruitment compliance, performance management, absence management, pay, well-being and employee relations.
The partner should be comfortable in challenging the schools senior leaders appropriately, and guiding them on best practice.
The role is being hired on an initial 12 month as the team has recently restructured into separate partnering and operational teams, to give sufficient time to understand the MATs long term needs. There is a likelihood the role will become permanent.

Apart from the obvious, (that we're not actively seeking work, but when we do...) we want to be able to provide clients an instant shortlist with people we have already met and qualified. Hence us focusing on building our our database at the moment

When will you get me a job?
We're focusing on building out our database at the moment, and will start speaking to clients late November/early December - right before Christmas, the infamously best time to start finding work.
